About

I hate writing about pages, they always feel similar to those awkward getting to know you team building exercises! But I'll do my best.

Who I am

My name is Jackie Plage and I'm a 52 year old woman born and bred in the UK. Originally from Birmingham, now living in East Yorkshire. I live with a brain that’s very much ADHD (inattentive type) as well as being heavily prone to depression and anxiety. I'm also the owner of a body that refuses to cooperate with me for long periods of time, thanks to severe IBS (and now menopause, too, which makes everything worse). It's lucky that I also have a sense of humour!

Though my energy is often low to non-existent, I still try to fill my days in the best ways that I can. These days a good portion of my time is filled with helping to moderate (in a voluntary capacity) the official Facebook group for The Skinner Brothers or writing for Bad Brains. Sometimes I manage to squeeze in some photography too! Otherwise I'll be gaming (on PC), listening to music or reading. Or sleeping. Sleep is good.

What you'll find here

I have a wide variety of interests and am perpetually curious about many things in life. My brain is constantly busy. The name of this blog is from a lyric in a song by The Skinner Brothers. Given the aforementioned busy (and dopamine seeking ADHD brain), the domain name seemed very appropriate.

With that information in mind, it's difficult to predict exactly what you might find here. In essence, this is just a personal blog where I write about whatever takes my fancy at that moment in time. That might be some music I've just come across, a great link I just discovered, a photo I've taken, some nerdy Linux thing I've been playing with, or a rant about something that's annoying me. Pretty much anything goes!
